There's no one I have more fun with talking to than Katherine Roberts. This is the first of two episodes that covers plans and programs for golfers to help increase their flexibility and limit back pain…among other things. In the first episode Fred convinces Katherine to shorten her planned workout videos and begs for a pre and post round specific yoga workout.
Her latest informational and instructional site is KRFlexFit.com.
Next week, for Members Only, Katherine returns with specific pre and post round stretches.

GSfMO#302. In our second episode with Tom, he once again provides history and perspective on why mass produced clubs are better for the manufacturers than for you.
80% of all golfers would see significant improvement in their game with custom fit clubs. Tom Wishon wants you to be aware that there are 13 key specs that need to be considered when fitting clubs for your body and your game. Do you think your local golf shop is also aware of those details?
Tom, who has worked in every aspect of the industry, explains that we shouldn't be influenced on the price of shafts. A $500 shaft is absolutley the same as a $50 shaft. We just like to think that if we pay more, it must be better. Good marketing, bad shopper.

GSfMO#301 Who really benefits from you buying new clubs to keep up with technology? Custom fit clubs are vitally important to lower scores! Tom Wishon, author, spokesperson, and leading advocate on the art & value of custom club fitting wants every golfer to understand why. "Once I get better, I'll get fitted for clubs" is absolutely the wrong approach. You'll get better once you have clubs that are designed for you and give you more confidence. Also, don't think that you'll pay more for a custom set. Not only is price comparable, you won't have a need to change clubs every few years. Because of USGA restrictions, manufacturers can't make significant alterations. More money is spent on advertising than R&D, it's all repackaging.
For more Tom has written some great books, including "The Search For The Perfect Golf Club"
Next week, for Members Only, Tom returns with more insights on how we're being brainwashed by big ad budgets and high profile spokespeople.
